There in lies joy and satisfaction for the maker, and reliability for the user. Japan’s traditions have long been nurtured by history and nature, and any attempts to bring them into the present require not only that time-honored techniques be passed on, but also a sense of devotion to one’s craft and the desire for harmony with nature.
